About me
I have spent most of my life involved in aviation. I began working line, fueling and washing airplanes at the Crete, NE airport in 1994. I continued gaining my FAA certificates and began flight instructing in the summer of 1996. After that I was offered a position flying for the USDA in Los Angeles and Central America in BE-18T’s and King Air 90’s. I was selected for USAF pilot training in 1998 and graduated from UPT in May of 2000 as a distinguished graduate.
I went on to KC-135R initial training shortly thereafter and back to Lincoln, NE to fly for the Nebraska Air National Guard where I progressed to IP/EP and retired in April of 2025 as the Vice Wing Commander. In 2003, I was hired by a State Department contractor to fly Twin Otters, King Airs, PC-6’s, Casa 235’s and DC-3T’s oversees in remote locations. In late 2006 I was hired by Fedex Express as a 727 Flight Engineer and have progressed to sitting in the left seat of the Boeing 777 now.
In 2009, I was selected by the USAF to fly the RC-700A, Global Express as an IP/EP in Afghanistan for 7 months as part of a joint operational need mission.
I am still a current CFI, CFII, MEI and A&P and now an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner. I have flown over 200 makes and models of aircraft and continue to fly my Yak 52, a de Havilland Vampire and am a Flight Engineer on the B-29 “FIFI”. I love GA flying and look forward to working with you towards achieving your FAA certificates.
